So glad I stuck with it hough. This book is so much more sophisticated and developed and the storyline just leapt off the page. The real affinity the author has with ancient Egypt is blatantly obvious and the detail is extraordinary. It is one of the contributing factors that make this book such a wonderful read!
I do hope there's a happy ever after for everyone. Now the only question is when is book three going to come out???

The author is definitely developing in her style, and by the end of this adventure she will be capable to enchant her readers from the very first page!
I confess, I had troubles to get through first chapters of the first book, but it was definitely worthy to be patient :)

As the tale unfolds and I learn more about how things are connected I get drawn deeper and deeper into the story. I love when a question gets answered. There is so much to learn, and the writing is great. The new characters are fantastic! I am waiting so eagerly for the next book and the wait is the worst part. Make sure you read the books in order (only this and the first one so far). You have to follow the story in order so you can understand all that gets revealed along the way.

In a side note, it seems the editors got tired toward the end because the type-o's only showed up there, the last few chapters one word. I was reading fast and I am sure they were going much faster than I to have missed them.

Moon Daughter is the second installment of the Nephilim Quest series by Leena Maria, and it is a fantastic piece of literature. The storyline is fantastic, offering a more in depth knowledge of the exciting and diverse characters. I was particularly enthralled by Ambrogio, an ancient vampire with a mysterious past and unknown motives.
Whilst the story and characters are exciting and original, it’s the historic detail that stands out as particularly astounding. Set in ancient Egypt, Leena has written such accurate descriptions, from buildings to scenery to clothing and even smells! As I was reading, it felt like I was really there, experiencing ancient Egypt.
Moon Daughter was such a pleasure to read. A treat for all the senses! I could tell from every page that Leena put a lot of work into writing this. The best stories are the ones that the author truly loves to write, who cares about every word. Moon Daughter is definitely one of the best.

I have been waiting to read this second book of the series and had to wait for the holidays so I could really immerse myself in the story. this was certainly the right move as once started I found I just had to keep going. I thoroughly enjoyed it and found the story becoming more and more engaging. Although the story line is essentially a fantasy Leena has made this believable by weaving extremely well researched historical detail within the plot. Leena's writing style is easy to read and the twists and turns in the plot keeps you guessing. This book solves some of the mysteries of the first one and I am looking forward to the third one to resolve more.

Most of this story focuses on Merit, wife of Elijah, who mysteriously disappeared on their honeymoon. She was transported back to ancient Egypt and stranded in the western desert. She is aided by the mysterious Mut-bity and joins the court of the Great Royal Wife, Tiye wife of Amenhotep III. She uses her memories of Egyptian history to earn the confidence of Tiye. Merit gives birth to twin daughters, one “normal” and one albino – the Moon Daughter. As we read of their story, we learn of how Dana’s team has landed years later and are on a path to meet Tiye as they seek answers to the question of where the Nephilim come from. While the end of this book may feel abrupt, it is only part of a larger story as is typical in fantasy. One can sense the elements coming into place for a resolution of this quest in the next book which I look forward to.
